• Image Conversion: When you convert an image, it is loaded into your browser's memory using the HTML5 Canvas API. The browser decodes the source format and re-encodes it to your chosen output format — all within your device's local memory.
• Image Compression: Compression works similarly by loading images into a canvas element and re-encoding them with optimized quality settings. For PNG files, we convert to WebP format which provides dramatically better compression while maintaining transparency.
• Background Removal: Our background remover processes pixel data directly in your browser using image analysis algorithms. The image is analyzed, foreground and background are separated, and the result is rendered — all locally on your device.
• HEIC Processing: iPhone HEIC photos are decoded using the heic2any JavaScript library which runs entirely client-side, converting HEIC files to standard formats your browser can process.
• Batch Processing: When processing multiple files, all images remain in local browser memory until the ZIP file is generated. The ZIP creation also happens client-side using the JSZip library.

At no point during any of these processes is your image data transmitted over the network. The only network activity occurs when loading the webpage itself and its required JavaScript libraries from CDN servers.
